De Beauvoir Piano Trio
The De Beauvoir Piano Trio is a London- based prize-winning ensemble formed by violinist Enyuan Khong, cellist Charlotte Kaslin and pianist Hao Zi Yoh.
The trio seek to bring freshness and vitality to the classical masterworks, whilst elevating both modern and marginalised voices.
The trio has been successful in competitions: they have previously won the 2nd Prize at the Virtuoso & Belcanto Competition in Italy (2021), the 3rd Prize at the IX Stasys Vainiunas Competition in Lithuania (2022) and were Finalists of the St-Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Competition in the UK (2020), postponed due to Covid-19.
They have been invited to participate on scholarships in festivals across Europe, including Jeunesses Musicales in Germany and Musique à Flaine in France.
The Trio regularly performs in venues across the UK and Europe.
They were recently selected as Ensemble in Residence of the 2025 Britten Pears Young Artists’ Programme, and have also attended the prestigious 2022 Prussia Cove International Musicians Seminar under the tutelage of Thomas Adès.
Past engagements include the 50th anniversary of the IMS at the Wigmore Hall (2022), Leeds International Concert Season (2021), the Institut Français in London and in Edinburgh (2021).
The Trio were most recently a showcase ensemble for the ECMA (European Chamber Academy) Seminars in Oslo and performed, presented and took part in masterclasses there.
The trio is also part of the Le Dimore del Quartetto agency in Italy.
They are under the mentorship of Chamber Studio in King’s Place, in London.
The Trio is grateful for the mentorship of Adrian Brendel, Andràs Keller, and Christoph Richter, as well as the guidance of Ronan O’Hora, John Myerscough and Richard Ireland.
